Weekly Activities

From the Commissioner of Education - Dr. Randy Watson
The Challenge Awards are a celebration of the great work schools are doing and remind us to continue pushing forward to improve student academic performance and narrow the gap between all our subgroups, including racial, socio-economic, and special needs. The schools being honored this year are doing an exceptional job in these areas.
In 2015, the Kansas State Board of Education announced its new vision for education - Kansas leads the world in the success of each student. We are pleased to award your district for outstanding achievements and uncommon accomplishments based on Kansas math and reading assessment results, graduation rates, chronic absenteeism rate, and the socio-economic status of those taking the test.

It's time to find those dancin' shoes! The Booster Club's annual daddy-daughter dance will be April 13. Forms need to be returned to the elementary school by April 4.

We would love to have you stop by the elementary school on March 11 to see our third, fourth, and fifth graders' hard work on their science fair projects. They have been hard at work running experiments and gathering data on a lot of different topics, like what kills the most germs, which brand of pop corn pops the best, and more!
