The Lady Trojans are regional champions! Marais des Cygnes Valley put together two straight-set victories on Tuesday, October 20, to capture the KSHSAA Class 1A Division II regional title and advance to sub-state.
MdCV opened with a win over Southern Coffey County, taking the match 25–9, 25–14. The Lady Trojans followed that performance with another strong showing against Centre, winning 25–7, 25–15 to finish regional play undefeated without dropping a set.
This championship is another accomplishment our players, coaches, families, and community can be proud of. The work our girls put in throughout the season continues to pay off, and their postseason journey continues!
Next up is sub-state on Saturday, October 24, with a trip to the state tournament on the line. We will share the official bracket, location, and match times once they are confirmed.
