three star

The Marais des Cygnes Valley FFA Chapter has earned a national three-star rating for the second consecutive year, continuing a tradition of hard work, student leadership, and service under the guidance of agricultural education teacher and FFA advisor Matt Railsback.

Three stars is the highest star rating awarded through the National FFA Organization’s National Chapter Award Program. The recognition reflects the strength of a chapter’s overall program and the opportunities it provides for students to learn, lead, and make a difference.

The program evaluates chapters in three areas: growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture. To qualify for state or national recognition, chapters must complete at least 15 activities addressing National FFA’s quality standards. The application process requires chapters to document their goals, plans, and results, with qualifying chapters advancing from state recognition to national evaluation. (ffa.org)

For MdCV, earning this distinction in back-to-back years speaks to the continued commitment of our students and their advisor. It takes planning, teamwork, follow-through, and students who are willing to accept responsibility and put in the work.

Mr. Railsback’s leadership deserves recognition for helping students turn their interests in agriculture into meaningful opportunities for growth. Just as importantly, this honor belongs to the FFA members whose efforts bring the chapter’s plans to life.

Our school and community can take tremendous pride in this accomplishment. National recognition is exciting, but the lasting value is in the confidence, skills, and sense of responsibility students carry with them beyond high school.

Congratulations to Mr. Railsback and every member of the Marais des Cygnes Valley FFA Chapter on a second consecutive year of three-star recognition. Thank you to the families and community supporters who help make these opportunities possible.

Three stars. Two years running. A proud accomplishment for our Trojans!
