Iron Trojan

Marais des Cygnes Valley is proud to recognize a special group of student-athletes who have earned one of the highest honors our athletic programs can offer — the title of Iron Trojan and Lady Iron Trojan.

This recognition is reserved for graduating seniors who participated in all three athletic seasons during all four years of high school. These students committed themselves to their teammates, coaches, and school year-round throughout their entire high school career.

The Iron Trojan and Lady Iron Trojan awards represent more than athletic ability. They symbolize dedication, perseverance, toughness, leadership, and school pride. These athletes showed up day after day through practices, competitions, injuries, long seasons, and the challenges of balancing academics, activities, and athletics. They chose commitment when quitting would have been easier.

This year’s recipients are, from left to right:

  • Akyra Traver
  • Catayah Thompson
  • Gracen Stahl
  • Ty Calderwood
  • Colbie Cormode
  • Ella Reed

These students have helped shape the culture of MdCV athletics through their work ethic, attitude, and commitment to being part of something bigger than themselves. Their impact on our programs and younger athletes will continue long after graduation.

The title of Iron Trojan is earned — not given — and these students have truly earned it.

Congratulations to these outstanding Trojan student-athletes. We are proud of each of you and thankful for the example you have set for future generations of MdCV athletes.
