Meet Linda Carson
I have been employed by Marais des Cygnes Valley since 1981.
Throughout the years I have been teaching in many classrooms. They
include 2nd and 4th grades as well as Middle School Social Studies,
Math and Language Arts. For the last 4 years I have been teaching
5th grade at the Quenemo building. This is really a fun age since
the students are more independent, but still want to learn new and
exciting things.
I think the biggest change I have seen is the use of technology in
the classroom. It is awesome how the children are NOT afraid to use
computers and other digital equipment.
I have been teaching at MdCV for so long that I am now colleagues
of some of my former students as well as teaching the children of
former students. It has been really fun seeing some of the same
character traits and personalities in my current students as was in
their parents.
I have been married to my husband, Greg for 28 years. We have 2
children that we are very proud of. Scot is a graduate of KSU and
is employed by Mussatto Brothers in Osage City. Josh just graduated
from Osage City High School and is now attending KU. Since we just
became “empty nesters” we are hoping to be able to keep busy with
not only our old hobbies, but find some new things to entertain us
in our “free” time!
