Meet Steve Burkdoll

I tried to tell those hard-working individuals in charge of updating the SOCS information that nobody would want to hear about the “mean old man” in the office. However, they were very persistent and persuasive; so, here is my “bio”.
Except for the four years I traveled off to college, I have lived in the Quenemo and Melvern communities my whole life. (Now that’s a long time!) I received my Bachelor degree from Washburn University many years ago; and, in 2004, I earned my Master’s degree from Emporia State University. My entire teaching career has been at Marais des CygnesValley schools, and I have been a Trojan fan from the beginning. I have coached nearly every sport at both the Jr. High and High School levels, and although I have retired from most of my coaching duties, one of my favorite pastimes is still watching the Trojans and Lady Trojans compete in academics and athletics!
I have been married for many years, also! My wife, Bev, and I have four children; Brad is currently teaching and coaching at a 1A school near Manhattan and our three daughters – Kelli, Kim, and Carly—are all K-State Wildcats!
