Meet Kim Dayhoff
By Kim Dayhoff
October 19, 2006
I was born and raised in Phillipsburg, KS,
which is 60 miles north of Hays. I graduated from high school
in 1990 and then attended Kansas State University where I graduated
with an elementary education degree, emphasis in science, math, and
technology in 1994.
My first teaching job of 6 years was in Osage City where I taught
5th grade and coached volleyball and basketball while
working on my masters’ degree in Instructional Design and
Technology. I graduated with my masters from Emporia State
University in the fall of 2000. I was given the opportunity
to put my masters degree into action when I received my current
position as district technology facilitator and junior high
computer teacher 7 years ago.
I live in Osage City with my husband, Neil, of nine years and
our
5 year old son, Brant, who is in kindergarten at Osage City. Neil keeps very busy running his two businesses, Dayhoff Underground and Central Tree Service. We are all anxiously awaiting the newest member of our family, which is to arrive soon. November 2nd is the projected due date.
Our family spends any free time on the lake. We enjoy boating
at Melvern, Pomona, Perry, Grand Lakes, and the Lake of the Ozarks
from April until October. Brant has mastered the tube and
knee boarding adventures over the past few years and has
successfully water-skied for a few split seconds this past
summer. I enjoy scrap booking, spending time with my family,
and relaxing watching CSI and Law and Order.
