Meet Linda Carson
September 27, 2006
Linda Carson grew up on a farm south of Melvern and graduated from Melvern High School in 1977. She attended Emporia State University and graduated from there in 1981. She then began teaching 2nd grade at MdCV Elementary in August of 1981. In the past 26 years she has taught 2nd grade for 12 years, 4th grade for 3 years, middle school/junior high for 10 years and is currently teaching 5th grade. Linda is enjoying being in a self-contained classroom once again after teaching departmentalized Social Studies and Language Arts for some time. Mrs. Carson is now enjoying teaching with some of her former 2nd grade students as well as teaching children of her former students.
Mrs. Carson lives in Osage City with her husband, Greg. They have 2 children. Scot is attending KSU and Josh is a sophomore at OCHS. Her hobbies include following the K-State Football team where Scot is a student equipment manager and attending Josh’s football, basketball and track sporting events.
In the past 26 years of her teaching career, probably the most amazing change would be the use of technology and computers in the classroom.
