Meet Connie Butts

I was born in Waverly, Kansas but have lived in Melvern most of my life. My parents, Gale and Dorothy Patterson have farmed 4 miles east of Melvern for over 59 years. I graduated from Allen County Community Junior College in Iola and transferred to Emporia State University. I earned a teaching degree and a reading specialist endorsement from ESU.
I am married to Allen and we have three children. The kids are all married and between them and their spouses there are three teachers, one librarian, one park ranger and a graphic artist. In my spare time I enjoy hiking and swimming. My favorite thing in the world is being a Grandma. My grandchildren Jarret, 8 and Riley, 3 bring me much joy!
