Kansas Day Celebration 2010

by Curtis Sowers

February 06, 2010

On Kansas Day, Jack Williamson came to our school. He told us good information like why Lawrence Kansas's mascot is the Jayhawk. He told us why Kansas was called bleeding Kansas. He demonstrated two muskets with blanks and showed us how to load both of the guns. He showed us other weapons too. He told us about how Kansas was a free state.
