Hit and Run by Lurlene McDaniel

a book review for Team Burkdoll - Cheese Please

April 24, 2008

Hit and Run is about four different people's lives. This book is mainly about a girl named Analise who was riding home on her bike one night from babysitting,  and she is hit by a car. The boy who hit her was Quinn, and he and Laurie were coming back from a party on the mountains, and they were both "buzzed." Laurie was in the passenger seat asleep, when all of a sudden she woke up from a jolt. Quinn said that he hit a deer and left the scene.

Analise has been missing for a few hours, and her parents and boyfriend Jeremy are starting to get worried. Read the book to find out if Analise lives!

This book was good. I enjoyed it. (125 words)

Date Subject Posted by:
05/02/2008 Amber, this book reminds me of a book by Chris Crutcher called "Athletic Shorts." "Shorts" --not the kind Mrs. Snider is selling -- but rather short stories. The book encases six short stories and the one titled, "Goin' Fishin' also has a buzzed drinker. Only this buzzed drinker was not driving a car but a boat. The boat sideswiped a family ... read on to find the outcome. There is a message of forgiveness in this story.
