First Part Last is a pretty good book from the front of the book to the middle. The end of the book goes downhill because it is not too descriptive and leaves you hanging about the mother of the child in the story. The book is a little confusing at first -- for like the first few chapters -- because of the going from the present to the past and back to the present and so on through the whole book. After the first few chapters, you start to realize how the books starts to fit together.
The story is about these two teenagers who become parents and
what their daily life is like when they find out they are going to
be having a baby. They made a choice to put the baby up for
adoption so it could get the proper attention and be with a loving
family. But that all changes.
When the baby is being born, an unexpected thing happens that
causes the mother of the baby to become brain dead. She lives in a
nursing home and that is about all the book tells you about the
mother. Now the father decides to keep the baby so he will still
have a piece of his girlfriend. He has a job and still goes to
school; he pays for a babysitter and tries to keep everything from
going completely insane while living in a big city.
If you want to know more about the book, read it. Even though the
book has a non-descriptive ending, it is still an overall good
book. ( 267 words)
