This book is a memoir of Tony Dungy's life. He gives a recount of his childhood and school years - including elementary, high school, and college. He tells of his marriage, raising his family, and notes his steps for becoming one of the greatest professional football coaches of all time.
In 2006, Tony Dungy led the Indianapolis Colts to the Super Bowl championship over the Chicago Bears. He became the first African-American to lead a professional football team to a Super Bowl victory.
In my opinion, the best part of the book is not that he won the Super Bowl, but his beliefs and priorities in life for reaching his accomplishments. This is clearly outlined in the book's introduction when he states that this book is not about football, but about how his faith, family and relationships always are considerations before football.
This book is a great read and is meant by Coach Dungy to show
his faith to others, to encourage faith by others, and to build the
spirits of all readers. (172 words)
