Tenderness is about a young girl named Lori
Cranston, who ran away from home because of her mother's boyfriend.
A few years ago, she met Eric Poole, who befriended and protected
her, and ever since that time, he has stood in her memory. Now, he
has just been released from prison after serving three years in
juvenile detention for murder.
Lori says she has a "fixation" on Eric, and the only way to cure
this "fixation" is to kiss him.
Eric and Lori have a good time together, until Lori dies. The
police think Eric is responsible. You can find out the rest by
reading the book.
I found this book to be very confusing. It skips around a lot from
Lori's life and then to Eric's life, but when you get past that, it
is hard to put down. Overall this is one of my favorite books. (148
