This is a story about personal relationships -- about how to read, size up, or figure out people by what they say and how they act. (similar to Heidi in So B. It) For instance, Grady who is very protective of his mother, has learned to read or size up guys who act interested in his pretty mother. He is very protective of her. His mother, Lila, always gives people a first chance, but doesn't hesitate to move on down the road if her expectations of others fail. The two have been on the move for approximately seven years, since Grady's father was killed in an accident. Both would like to have a home, a more permanent place where they can belong. (similar to The Double Life of Zoe Flynn). Sometimes, however, people make mistakes and formulate ill-conceived perceptions about situations or others, invoking anger and wishes for forgiveness.
Characters:
