O'Henry's Life Story

His life from birth to death

by a Sophmore English Skills Student

October 17, 2006

The three years William Sydney Porter spent in prison were productive.  The reason why he was in prison is because he was working at a bank and he was taking money out of there.  Then he went back to Central America because his wife was dying.  His name was William Sydney Porter and they gave him a pen name and it was O. Henry which he got from a security guard.  His name was Orrin Henry.  He wrote a lot of stories and his first story was when he was in jail.

Throughout his life he wrote 250-300 short-stories.  He died and was remembered by the person who could write the best ending part in a short story and they made him master of the ending story.
