Your Help Is Needed
As you know, school districts in the state of Kansas have seen their budgets cut severely. USD #456 has seen its budget cut $250,000 since June 30, 2009. Governor Parkinson proposed a plan that would help school districts by raising revenue that would help to fund an increase in "per student" funding. On March 2, the Marais des Cygnes Valley Elementary celebrated Dr. Seuss’ 106th birthday. The students wore their reading t-shirts in the afternoon as part of the celebration.
